Complete Wiring Harness Replacement

For most Classic Vehicles, the typical labor hours range from 40 to 45 hours.

For safety and reliability, we only install new, professional-grade wiring harnesses and components. We do not use used, damaged, or low-quality parts.

What’s Included

A complete wiring harness replacement includes:

  • Removal of the existing wiring harness

  • Installation of a new, high-quality wiring harness

  • Proper routing, termination, and securing of all circuits

  • Connection to existing, serviceable components

  • Initial testing of lighting, charging, and ignition circuits

Electrical Supplies & Consumables Fee
Electrical Supplies & Consumables – $175.00
This charge covers shop-supplied electrical materials used during installation, including but not limited to heat shrink, terminals, connectors, wiring protection, rubber grommets, loom, fasteners, and related consumables.

These materials are required to ensure safe, reliable, and professional-quality electrical installation and are not itemized individually.

What Affects Your Investment

Every classic car is different. Final cost depends on:

  • Vehicle year, make, and model.

  • Vehicle size and body complexity

  • Stock vs. modified configuration

  • Previous wiring repairs or alterations

  • Accessibility behind the dashboard and interior panels

  • Type of harness (reproduction vs. aftermarket)

Important Exclusions

Wiring harness replacement does not include:

  • Diagnosis, repair, or replacement of electrical or mechanical components found to be faulty during installation.

  • Excluded items include, but are not limited to:

  • Alternator, generator, voltage regulator, starter, ignition components

  • Lamp holders/sockets, bulbs, housings, or grounding repairs

  • Switches, gauges, motors, senders, or relays

  • Electric fans, electric fuel pumps, power windows, power locks, EFI systems, audio systems, or other aftermarket accessories

  • Repairs to previously modified, damaged, or improperly wired circuits.

Full-size luxury vehicles, Lincoln, Thunderbird, Chrysler, Cadillac, Buicks, and Oldsmobile

  • Due to the size, complexity, and limited access associated with large-body vehicles—including but not limited to Lincoln, Chrysler Imperial, Cadillac, Buick, Oldsmobile, and similar full-size luxury vehicles—all electrical and wiring work on these vehicles is performed strictly on a time-and-materials (hourly) basis.

  • Flat-rate or capped estimates are not offered on these vehicles due to extended wire routing distances, increased circuit count, complex body structures, and reduced access behind the dash, body, and interior panels.

Engineering & Design Fee
Custom Electrical Engineering Fee:

  • Vehicles without a factory or reproduction wiring harness require custom electrical system design and engineering. This includes circuit planning, fuse and relay layout, wire gauge selection, safety system integration, and documentation.

  • Custom electrical engineering is billed separately as a flat engineering fee of $900.00, prior to installation. This fee is non-refundable and applies regardless of whether installation proceeds.
